Our Pet Care Team
Dr. Joshua Singer, Medical Director
Dr. Singer is originally from Virginia, but moved south to the Atlanta area with his family at a young age. He attended Auburn University for his undergraduate degree (War Eagle!) and the University of Georgia for veterinary school. He graduated in 2017 and moved to the Chattanooga area to start practicing.
In practice, Dr. Singer has particular interests in ultrasonography, surgery (both orthopedic and soft-tissue), and more complex medical cases. Dr. Singer and his wife, Alisa, have been married since 2013. Together, they have four kiddos.
Outside of work, they all enjoy any outdoor adventures, training for triathlons, renovating their house, and watching Auburn football games. Dr. Singer loves the practice environment at Dade County Animal Hospital and looks forward to seeing you and your pets.
Dr. Vickie Resh | Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Resh is originally from Hamburg, Pennsylvania but found her way down south by way of veterinary school at The University of Tennessee, where she graduated in 2018. Prior to vet school, she attended Bucknell University for her undergraduate studies. Dr. Resh’s favorite areas of veterinary medicine are surgery of any kind, orthopedic surgery, and the opportunity to build client relationships.
Outside of work, Dr. Resh lives with her four dogs. In her free time she enjoys hiking or kayaking, traveling, and anything sports related (but particularly field hockey).
Dr. Resh loves the family-like atmosphere here at Dade County Animal Hospital and she hopes to make you feel a part of our family as she continues to care for all of your pets!
Dr. Kaylin Stewart | Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Stewart is originally from Milledgeville, Georgia. She attended veterinary school at Ross University in the Caribbean Islands and her clinical rotations at Lincoln Memorial. Before medical school, she attended Mercer University as an undergraduate.
Dr. Stewart rotated at Dade County Animal Hospital and fell in love with everyone’s positive energy and the atmosphere that made coming to work fun. As a new graduate, the areas of medicine she enjoys are soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, and meeting new clients and patients.
In her free time, Dr. Stewart enjoys relaxing at home with her two dogs or spending time anywhere warm and sunny.
Dr. Kristina Selzer | Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Selzer is no stranger to Dade County Animal Hospital; raised just down the road in Rising Fawn, GA, her family has been bringing their pets to DCAH her entire life! While earning her undergraduate degrees, she lived in several places ranging from rural Minnesota to downtown Chicago (even briefly worked at Disney World) before moving closer to home to attend the University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Selzer's primary passion in veterinary medicine is theriogenology (reproduction) and neonatal care, but she also loves nutrition, behavior, exotics, hospice/end-of-life care, and tough internal medicine cases.
Outside of work, Dr. Selzer enjoys concerts, trail rides, binge-watching reality competition shows, being her nephew’s cool aunt, and nerding out over her latest's intnert obsession. She adores all her dogs, cats, and horses, but the love of her life is her blue merle Australian Shepherd, Cooper. Dr. Selzer works with a wildlife veterinarian in South Africa during Spring and Summer, teaching wildlife darting and veterinary care. She is obsessed with white rhinos and will talk about them all day, so don't get her started!
Amber Pittman | Practice Manager
Amber is a Dade County native; she originally came to work here in 2010 under Dr. Robert McKaig. Amber moved around for a few years but found her way back in 2018 and thankfully re-joined the family.
Outside of work, Amber enjoys boating, fishing, and archery. She is an avid marksman. She has four kiddos, one dog, and one cat. Amber puts her heart into this practice and wants to preserve what Dade County Animal Hospital has always been to the community.
